Baha Resort,
Baha Resort is a sustainable eco-tourism resort located on the southern edge of Zanjan, set within the city's green belt of orchards along the northern bank of the Zanjanrud river. Developed across a 16-hectare site, the project is built around the ideas of ecotourism and nature-based tourism, encouraging guests to connect with the surrounding riverside landscape while treating the land with care by preserving the existing topography and native vegetation. The resort combines a variety of independent standalone accommodation units, each offering a different plan type and experience, with a main building of roughly 3,500 square metres to the north of the site. This central building houses residential suites, service and management areas, a swimming pool, parking, an atrium, amphitheater and cinema halls, a cafeteria, a gift shop selling local handicrafts, a restaurant, and emergency facilities, each designed and positioned according to its function. The design responds to Zanjan's cold-climate context and draws on sustainable principles, including a central courtyard with a pool and water feature to moderate indoor conditions, minimized east and west glazing organized around that courtyard, low-emissivity glazing, green roofs and terraces, and careful orientation toward the prevailing wind and sun. Together these strategies aim to reduce guests' reliance on the built interior and root the resort in its natural setting, offering a restful place to experience and learn from the landscape of the Zanjanrud valley.
