Cave Tower,

The Iceland Cave Tower was designed for the Bee Breeders international competition, inspired by the raw brutality of Iceland’s landscape. Rising from the volcanic ground near Lake Mývatn, the concrete observation tower features three levels carved as rough geometric volumes, echoing the tectonic forces and fissures that shape the site. Parametric windows reinterpret the sharp cuts of the nearby caves, filtering light through sculptural louvers that merge architecture with geology. The project embodies the dialogue between nature’s power and human creation, brutal, pure, and deeply rooted in its context.
